Dishwasher salt?
We've brought our dishwasher with us from the UK. I went to go buy powder and rinse aid at the shops but noticed that they don't sell dishwasher salt here? Do we not have to use salt here as they water is different?

We just use rock salt in ours - works fine. We did phone the manufacturer about this and they said use rock salt - available in all supermarkets.

Don't need it. The reason you need salt is to soften the water, we came from Kent which has incredibly hard water. it just is not a problem here, (currently in melbourne)

Our kettle in the last year has not got ANY scale or lime in it. Despite near constant tea making use. Kinda shows you the difference in the quality of water. Just use powder and rinse aid.
