Dimia - Xmas Shutdown
Just after some reassurance, our agent rang on the 16.12.05 to say the courier had confirmed that our docs were delivered to Adelaide.
As yet we have had no acknowledgement or c.c. money taken.
Our agent case worker is off till Monday.
Do they shut down, is this normal at this time of year - ?

Yes the Department are open but it runs on a skeleton staff, its all about which case officers get to be away, the rule of thumb is, if your case officer goes on holidays, so does your file which is a bit sad but it tends to be what happens.

Most Aussie govt depts run on a real skeleton staff over Christmas (I should know, I'm one of the skeletons!) life returns to normal on Monday.......

Hi mate!!! i am currently blasting out... would you believe ......duran duran!!! but before you put me on your ignore list i am listening to remixes we have downloaded which are pretty tasty!! I had to buy new earphones for my i-pod because the original ones wore out!!!!

That sucks! Fingers crossed that they eventually get there!
Sydney is changeable at the moment. 44 c last week and today was about 22 c and pissing down rain. I had to dig out a comfy cardy ...
