Default DIMIA have charged my credit card......what does that mean?

Folks.........got my visa bill yesterday and it has a charge on it from DIMIA.............apart from the shock of now having to pay it, does this mean that they are processing it ?............

Or do they open up the letters first, grab the payment details then put them back on the pile for later...........

Lastly, I didn't front load......so how do they request police checks and medicals.....by post or email.....and how long do we get to have them done.......

cheers all..........

Yes - just because they took the money doesn't mean that you will get your visa! The charge is non-refundable, successful or not and usually the first thing they do is charge your credit card and then look at the application later. But I'm sure you've got nothing to worry about! When they ask for police checks and medicals you'll know if you're in with a chance. Good luck!

Nope sorry it does not mean that they are processing it yet
it means that they have taken payment for it and it will now be put in a pile untill your turn comes up ...

we paid the DIMIA bill in Sept 2003 we are still waiting to be allocated a case worker (not long now ive been informed) and then the processing starts !!

Hang in !

At least it gives you the chance to pay your VISA bill off before you're accepted!!!

HI

If your wife's a midwife then the wait should be aroung 4-6 months as nurses get priority processing.
