Question DIMA Work Hours Restrictions Over Visa(Does This Really Means Something)?

Hi,

International student are allowed to work 20 hours per week.Is there any procedure with DIMA that they can really check these working hours? Most of the students work over ABN as sole trader and even student work on TFN.

Most students in Brunswick VIC 3056,Coburg VIC 3058 are driving taxi to 48 hours per week.If a student works for 48 hours per week (as they usually do), how DIMA can actually trace out this fact?

Thanks,

yup they'll find out. i know of two students who had visits, and one who we're told was deported for breaking visa conditions.

also remember if you're working so many hours you probably won't be passing/attending uni subjects. If you're not passing/attending then you'll be reported by Uni to DIMIA!
