We have an eftpos card with Westpac which I only use if I want cashback at a transaction as you are charged for these debits. I use my mastercard debit card for everything else and don't get any extra charges. It's confusing that you have to select credit in shops for the debit card and cheque or savings for eftpos. The banking is mad over here - when you write cheques out they are debited to your account the same day the other person pays it in - so beware !

We were able to go up to 10,000 but you have to go into the branch to arrange it - we reduced it back fairly quickly !
