Default did the deed today...

Hubby and I have now informally told our respective bosses that we are vanishing in April..... and it was really hard to do!! Felt guilty for some reason...

So, provided Hubby's passport is back with Visa before xmas, we will formally resign... and we'll only have 3 months to sell the house and leave!! :scared:

Well done. Feels great, eh?

(Sorry I had to add the Eh? as I'm practising for potentially living in Queensland, but.....)

Paul.

Its hard knowing when to tell bosses. For my husband- (who works in engineering design) if he was to tell too early he would probably be made redundant (we aren't going until next november). For me (an NHS nurse) they can't fire me so will tell, sooner rather than later, the nurse in charge that I work with. I have already told nurses in my 2nd job - news might already of filtered to my day job about my plans to emigrate :scared:

Just finding the moment really

Lynn

Well done for letting people know. We both told our bosses quite early that we were planning to do it, but both places were work situations where we knew we'd be welcome till we were ready to go.

Great. Hope to be out there around the same time. Although not handing in my resignation unil I know the house is sold. Taking longer than hoped to sell the house and can't go until it's sold.

See you out there.

yeah it does feel great.. but we've got soooo much to do before we go..

finish renovating/get house on the market.. get in a few movers to do proper quotes and then pick one..(and pick what we're gonna send out to Oz too).

busy busy busy.. will be pleased when we get back to Queensland and go and do nothing for a week or so before serious job hunting begins....
