Default meds for kids

Can anyone tell me please if all medicine is free for kids. My son has diabetes and needs insulin, needles etc. Had a look at Diabetes Au web, it's not very user friendly. There must be someone out there who has diabetes and can let me know please!

Kaz, I dont know of any medicines that are free for kids apart from immunisation. If you are a low income earner though you qualify for a health care card which gives you medicines at reduced rates (I think the max is $3.60 per script?).

This is the Australian equivalent to the NHS.
