I've looked at various old threads created one myself - however gauging opinion is tricky, so - here it is (hopefully) the definitive fibreglass vs concrete pool thread.

Any and all opinions gratefully rec'd!!

So far it looks like the concrete is ahead .... ooooh the excitment of it all :-)

Concrete with salt water and a waterfall. Plant some palm trees around it with a bit of decking. Bobs your uncle, you have a very natural pool setting.

Fibreglass looks tacky and man made.

I'd vote for concrete but it didn't appear to be on the list

I don't agree. If it's not finished off properly it can do. A few edging (think they are called capping) stones sets a fibrfeglass pool off nicely I think

The good thing about concrete is you can have a pool done in any shape or size. The possibilities are endless

Nothing wrong with a well finished off fibreglass pool, a lot easier to look after and clean than a concrete monstrosity.

I think both have their issues regarding cleaning and maintenance.

I personally like concrete, pebblecrete finish.

Again I would opt for saltwater, with saltwater chlorinator.

Next pool.. i may invest in solar heating or heatpump ( our place sells em , so may get a deal )

Deffo get some lights in the pool next time.
