Hello!

I'm looking for some nice cheap accommodation in Brisbane/Gold Coast area in July this year for 2 weeks .... Don't really want to be in backpackers accomm... so if anyone knows of any good caravan parks? or cheap motels/hotels? Any suggestions gratefully received... it's for 2 people - me n' him!!!

We'll be hiring a car so getting about won't be a problem..

Depends what your definition of cheap is .

Cheap & motel most often go together. There is a Motel Formula1 right by the airport thats probably one of the cheapest around (about $60/night from memory, sorry, I cant find the website!! ABC will have it) & a Travel lodge at Mt Gravatt (Garden City) @ about $80/night. http://www.travelodge.com.au/

Otherwise you could try a caravan park this one is OK http://www.gatewayvillage.com.au/ .

If you dont mind winging it completely you could always try the last minute deals on www.wotif.com.au , http://www.quickbeds.com/ & http://www.lastminute.com.au

What does the nightly cost of your 4 bed house work out at when on a short 1 week let ? about $85 ?
