Hello,

I'm about to get my PR 136 in a few weeks I think
(last steps done last week), and I wonder if have to validate it before my girlfriend lodges her De Facto Spouse application and I sponsor her at the same time ?

Did anyone do that before going onshore ?

If not possible, I read that some partners have had their
de facto spouse visa onshore provided the first entry of the partner did not look like a deliberate try to stay in Oz, is that a good solution if we don't want to stay away for some time ?

Cheers,

Hi,

If you have been living with your gf in a de facto relationship, you should have her
included in your 136 application (if your relationship has been going for 12 months)
rather than make another and possibly lengthy application for her.

Cheers

Too late or still possible ?

Thanx for your advice George,

Unfortunately, at the time I lodged my application,
we suspected that we wouldn't get our visas if she's undergraduate, and I had only a 2.5 yr work exp.

So we decided that I be alone on the form, then, if she graduates and is still interested into going to Australia, I could nominate her onshore.

We've been living together for more than 2 yr (joint account + ...), and we hope to get an spouse onshore temporary visa while on a Long stay tourist visa, so that she can make up her final decision while living with me.
What do you think of that ?

Actually, are that the dice thrown ?
Or can I still add her in my application
without resubmitting to the whole process for me ?
or should we use the nomination option?

Is there a risk for being refused the visa for both of us if I ask them to add her ?

I'm afraid that I lose everything!

Many thanx,
