Talking De-Facto Application Fee

Hi All

Hope everyone had a lovely valentines weekend!?

Just wondered if we can send a normal cheque off to pay for our application?

Thanks

Good question Nat

Judging by the partner booklet its a credit card or cheque from a Aussie bank or a bank with Aussie representation.

So according to that if its a HSBC cheque I would think it should be OK but it might be a struggle with say a Natwest cheque.

Hopefully one of the people who have made the application might come on and answer it with a definate.

How much is it for the application now by the way?

All the best

TT

Yeah applying in London. Decided best to use the credit card as easier and less likely to back fire on us!

Thanks for your help

we used the credit card and they charged it the very next day, this gives you peace of mind that they are processing your application and there is no fear of the cheque getting lost etc.

good luck.

I go on the Australia Immigration website and there is a form 990i which give the charges in Australian Dollars, this equates to about 540 punds

www.immi.gov.au
Forms and Booklets
Numerical List
Forms 913 - 1006
990i - Charges - November 2003

You will also see the currency converter too

This will bring you onto the page and it has the charges (you have to look at the PDF and find the partner section which is on page 4)

Hope this helps TT.

Ahhhhhhhh I see

So you have to convert the $ into £.

Was looking for something that gave you a total in £.

Guess I would have been looking forever.

Cheers Nat

It doesn't look like they do that anymore. Even the list of charges on the London AHC website (www.australia.org.uk) takes you to the DIMIA web site ( www.immi.gov.au/allforms ). There is a currency converter on the DIMIA website.
