It's always hotter up your way, too. At least we get the sea breezes in the afternoon.

I got up at 5 this morning so I could finish the mulching and weed the garden beds before it got too hot. Thank fook for the pool.

That's partly a myth. The temperature where i live tends to be the same as in the city or cooler. Bickley, a few kms away is always cooler than most other places. We are on the lee side of the escarpment where the temp is a few degrees less than on the other face

If you live right next to the ocean then it's cooler but 0.5-1km inland and the temp is the same as everywhere else

I got a paddling pool for the duck's pond ( I did say duck) & caught ole Mr BEVS standing in it to cool his feet despite the duck gunk at the bottom . Bleurgh .

Yeah, in this heat a pool is a godsend. We go for a quick dip before bed every night to cool off which is nice. When you and Mr Bevs come for that visit I'll be sure it's sparkly clean for you.
