Dalkeith?

Hi,
Me, my husband and our daughter are moving to Perth and are looking at the Dalkeith area.

We will be bringing over around £180,000 GBP with us and husband has a job as bricklayer already secured.

We would be looking for a 3 bed house, can anyone advise on avergae rental prices for a decent one in Dalkeith?

Also, anyone think we wouldnt earn enough to afford to live here? Daughter will be starting pre-primary so I will probably work too (am a financial advisor at the minute in the UK)

Thanks in advance, also any other areas to consider would be appreciated :)
(with good schools please)

Oh, just to add its a 189 visa and we have also been advised to look at Applecross and Victoria Park to live as these also have good schools?
TIA :)

Good luck on your move to Perth. I have no knowledge of it, but hopefully some helpful people will be along soon. :fingerscrossed:

I grew up in Perth, but haven't lived there for seven years or so now. Dalkeith has always been a pretty exclusive and area. Applecross is also pretty expensive, and Vic Park can be a bit hit and miss. Some parts of Vic Park are beautiful and there are others that are dodgy as. If your husband is going to be in Scarborough and you don't like the look of it, the areas surrounding it (Karrinyup, Wembley Downs, Doubleview) are all nice family areas with good schools etc/

Thank you for your help! I will have a look at the 3 suggestions!

Then you're looking at a whole load of $ per week for a rental. http://www.domain.com.au/search/rent...%2c+wa%2c+6009

We thought between $700-900 a week for renting. Or is that optimistic?

Re: Dalkeith?

So, you are going to use the money you are bringing with you to pay your rent? Because a bricklayers salary, even with you working isn't going to get close to a rent budget of $700-900 weekly rent.
