well my dad has not been my greatest supporter of this move but has come round, but he always goes to portugal for the winter, november til march, off he went 3 weeks ago but had a phone call from him last week to say he is flying home for christmas, great news as i was thinking might be the last christmas we will spend together ( he is 75) well getting my visa through and dad coming home is making it the best christmas pressie ever

Great news, he must be a softy at heart then. My Dad hasn't spoken to me for 5 years, knows I am leaving in 3 weeks and still hasn't contacted me. There is no hope for some people!

yeah your right rach money cant buy this happiness, waved a teary goodbye to him 3 weeks ago, sounds really cheesy but i love this bloke more than anything and not to have him home for christmas was terrible but now things are looking fantastic will enjoy every moment with him
