Default Customs duty on gifts

Hubby and I had a number of farewell parties and between us we've got a suitcase full of gifts. Also managed to accumulate a large number of corporate gifts we received over the last 2-3 years. I've shipped the boxes and kept the contents -wallets, pens, document cases, watches etc all of which (except the two document cases) would now fit in my handbag. Thought I'd distribute them around in Melly..lol. Would I have to pay duty on them?
