Customs brokers/shipping agents

Customs brokers/shipping agents
Hi there, we are having a few doubts about our shipping company as they're not to good with the details about what happens with our stuff when it gets to Oz. We think we're just going to let them ship our stuff then deal with it ourselves at the other end. The thing is, we don't have much time to sort this out as our stuff goes in less than 3 weeks. Can anyone recommend a company that will deal with clearing our stuff through customs, destination duties, etc.., I'm sorry, I don't know the exact procedure. Basically someone who can get our container, do what has to be done and then give us our stuff. We need to do this as cheaply as possible so we don't necessarily require delivery as we may be able to do that ourselves.
Thanks in advance for any help.

we used John Mason and they did everything for us. As part of the process we completed form which were submitted to customs. Once our stuff arrived here we had to allow time for it to be cleared by customs and then its all your. Once our stuff had arrived in Perth then Wridgeways (presume they must have some partnership with John Mason) dealt with everything.
Have you been given custom forms to complete by your shipping company? If you have then my guess is you will be notified once your stuff arrives in Oz and then again when it clears customs. If you havn't then I am not surprised you are concerned. Another qustion you may want to ask your shipping company is who wil be looking after your stuff when it arrives in Oz, you could then give them a call.

HI 68mevy
I think youve got the ones we used already - Global Logistics Management based in Brisbane, was circa 2000$ for 20ft from Ship-to front Door.
Good luck.
