Not in a position to worry about transferring cash yet, but a couple of questions for the better informed:

1. What are the transaction costs per transfer?

2. What chunk of cash do you have to transfer to get the best rate?

Just thinking about transferring bit by bit to minimise possible exchange rate loss caused by one-off spikes.

Cheers

Default I want to SELL my dollars!

Lucky things all you buying dollars at the moment!

I have just asked this question on moving back forum:

when we came back to UK a couple of months ago we didnt cash in the bankers draft which is our (pitiful) life savings as we thought doh! that the rate was too high - 2.45 at the time.

Now we are panicking that we made a booboo because the dollar is getting even stronger.

So what should we do? Do we just take it to the bank & cut our losses or what?

Im confused
