does anyone know if the CSA can chase you for money in Australia?

Re: csa
CSA has no jurisdiction outside of the UK.
Unless you work for a UK Company and get paid from a UK bank account overseas.
Court orders for mainetnance however, can be enforced.
There are many opinions on this - but this is the fact.

I have an answer for you, red.
No, seems to be the word, but my friend tells me that they have pursued people overseas if 'large amounts' have been in arrears. (He says 'thousands')
They only do this if, as Andrew says above, a court order exists for the payment in the first place.
He also says that pursuing to Europe is 'common' but he doesn't know about Aus. He did say that they have pursued to the US before.
They don't do this on their own, but work with another 'agency' (he couldn't tell me who) for chasing people in different countries.
He also told me that they they do have powers to access UK taxpayers in any country but if you're no longer a UK tax payer, it's more difficult... Hence I guess that's why they go after more people in Europe.
Sorry it's a bit sketchy but he was restricted with what he could say.
Do you have any more details I can bounce off him or is what I've told you sufficient?
