Thinking of sending these over to a friend as a gift. Are they popular?

I went over in September 2006. They were very popular then, even though they have just seemed to boom over here. May be that they are a little last season now over there. Don't know what has happened since september though.

We've just returned from holiday in Oz and saw Crocs in every sporty shop we saw, as another said, they are also cheaper in Oz than here.

Crocs are cool!
Spent April in Oz, came back with pair for me and pair for two daughters - cool shoes perfect for Oz climate IMO! definately cheaper over there though!
