Folks,

we have not decided which city we are going to be settled down. do you have any idea crime rate in Melbourne vs brisbane? any idea the best suburb in Melbourne for live? I have one kids now, i am looking suburb in melbourne which are safe and developed.

To be honest crime rates depend very much on exactly where you live, one suburb could be worse than the next and the next suburb could be better. I doubt there is any difference between Melbourne and Brisbane. Generally speaking I would avoid the Western side of Melbourne. There really are too many variables. I favor the Southside of Brisbane and for others it's the North. Again I'm not keen on the West.
