Does anyone by any chance know how to transfer our Aussie HSBC credit cards when we're moving to the US for a long time?

I don't think you can.

I know that I couldn't transfer my UK HSBC card to the Australian HSBC.
You will have almost certainly to apply for a new account.

Your other option is just advise a change of address and use the Australian card overseas, but with currency charges applying.
