Kent - Soon arriving in Brisbane

P.S Can you get long term car leases in Australia?
Take your Uk credit rating with you.Go online www.myequifax.co.uk
You pay £2.00 fill in the online forms and they send you your credit file, Which is what all the companies lending you money look at before giving you credit. Takes about 7 days to come through.

Just got back from a month in Bris, and it looked to me (after some fairly exhaustive looking throught the ads) as if new cars are cheaper than in the UK, but new-ish 2nd hand are relatively much more expensive.

You can get a brand new Toyota Corolla Ascent for $20k on the road, or a Kia Rio for $16k.

A two or three year old example would only be 2 - 3k cheaper...

Your UK credit rating is meaningless here in Oz.

Just doing the practical test, get hold of the Qld transport driving/theory test book, get that at most newsagents or at the transport test centre, will be the best $10 you'll spend.

Dont do what i did and just walk in and think you know it all cos you've been driving for years, i failed badly, get the book and study!!!
