We are living in Australia having come over on 457 and are looking for a credit card, all the credit cards we are looking at state you must be a permenant resident.

Does anyone know any cards that done require this?

Thanks

We got one from ANZ. However, only draw back is the $10,000 limit. They will increase this after a year.

Hello,

Yes, some banks will not give credit cards to temp workers.

We are going to go with ANZ too, as they offer decent account with credit card.

I am 457 and have Aussie, CBA and recently Citibank.

Both the first two knew I was 457, I may have forgotten to mention it to Citibank...

Took a Virgin Credit Card on 457 - ticked the PR box (in error)!
No worries!

CBA on a 457, crap limit, but I think they have a crap limit for nearly all new starters in Aus. Kept our UK Credit cards, even now.
