The word "race" is open to many interpretaions. Here we are using the definition as provided by the UK courts.

The Race Relations Act 1976 (RRA) prohibits discrimination on racial grounds. ‘Racial grounds’ is defined to include race, colour, nationality or ethnic or national origins.

It is possible to define black as being light of all colours (ie white) and white as being no light of any colour (ie black), true. But is it? Where is it written in English Law that discrimination by national origins, for example, is racial discrimination?

What the law says
The legal definition:

Race discrimination occurs when a person is treated less favourably on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin.

It is unlawful to discriminate against any worker on racial grounds. The Race Relations Act 1976 (RRC76) makes it unlawful to discriminate in:

recruitment
pay (including bonuses and shift premiums)
other terms and conditions (e.g. holidays)
access to opportunities or benefits (e.g. promotion, training, bonuses)
dismissal
or by disadvantaging a worker in any other way on racial grounds

What does the ramblings of the Trades Union Congress have to do with English Law? As far as I know, they are in league with all the other habitual liars.

They quote the law, which they are obliged to support their members from. You're struggling here mate, the law is clear. You're wrong, plain and simple.

Ta. Close but not the written Law just: "This version of this statute is extracted from the UK Statute Law Database"

I think this is the written Law:
http://www.statutelaw.gov.uk/content...tDocId=2059995

See section 3: Meaning of “racial grounds", “racial group" etc.

“racial group" means a group of persons defined by reference to colour, race, nationality or ethnic or national origins, and references to a person’s racial group refer to any racial group into which he falls.

So the act does not define black as white but white as a shade of black; it defines various forms of discrimination as all being racial discrimination.

Why this was neccessary, I can not imagine. Perhaps the bill passed late one Christmas night.

Except the infamous WillBlack (and all non-English), of course.

At least I now see why the English are so ready to shout "racist" at the slightest instance of discrimination regardless of its nature - their dialect of English has been legislatively corrupted.
