Cost of running car(s)
Hi
Could anyone give me a rough idea of how much it costs (monthly) to run a car (say 1600cc) in Melbourne, including petrol, maintenance, insurance and tax?
Any replies greatly appreciated just to have an idea.

Petrol for my Hundai Tucson 2 litre is about $50 per week, I drive 50ks into work and back round trip 4 days a week plus odd little journeys.
Tax including 3rd party insurance is about $300 a year I think.
Comprehensive insurance is $550 per year.
Don't know about maintenance yet but a service is about $200 every 15,000ks.

Here you go, RACV (motoring club ) site in Victoria just select car size and all the hard calculations are done for you..
