Default cost of a pick up from airport

can someone tell me how far it is from geelong to melbourne airport and back again and what would be an ok amount for fuel money for that trip.

I am off on my trip for 12 months, well i hope 12 months thursday get there about saturday and am being picked up by family members as i am real new to the country with only been there once before on holidays and not sure there true value of oz money i need to know whats an ok amount to give for the above drive.

dont want to give too much then not look greedy, i know the £ is good with the $ but cant compare that with fuel prices etc.

any help would be cool.

You are looking at about a 150km round trip.

I drive a typical 4 cyl car, and do about 400km for about $40.

Hope thats a bit of a guide.

Have a look at http://www.travelmate.com.au/MapMake..._Page=mapmaker

for route planning, it says it is 86km each way and will take about 56 minutes.
