Default Cost of Living in Melbourne

Can somebody give me a rough figure of cost of living in Melbourne for family of three(dad,mum,child) ? I know nobody can give a figure but at least rough figure ..

Depends what you want to include, I'm working on (per month)

Rent: $1800
Food: $800
Car/transport $400
Gas/Elec $320
Mobiles(2) $200

Thats $3520 per month for the basics. I'm not there yet but that's the budget so far, doesn't include buying the car, just fuel, maintenance and insurance.

I'm sure it can be done a bit cheaper but I don't think that's in anyway luxurious or extravagant.
