Can anyone out there in give us a breakdown of what your monthly outgoings are (excl mortgage/car loans) ie rates, insurances (House/car) , electricity, telephone etc. Basically living expenses. We are thinking of the Brisbane area and a four bedroomed house with two cars. Trying to get a comparison with uk and an idea of what the day to day costs of living would be..

You could look at www.aussiemove.com under Finance.........there is a breakdown for a family of four; albeit Perth. It may be some help.

Don't know where you've been looking, but I found this one just now

If you do a search of the Australia forum, you'll find loads more, takes a couple of minutes.
You've got to be a fella, cos if it's not in right in front of their eyes - it doesn't exist

Friends of ours brought their PS2 and it works just fine on their new TV. However, the dad is an electronics engineer/geek, so I don't know if he did something special to get it to work.
