Default Cost of living..

Can anyone out there in give us a breakdown of what your monthly outgoings are (excl mortgage/car loans) ie rates, insurances (House/car) , electricity, telephone etc. Basically living expenses. We are thinking of the Brisbane area and a four bedroomed house with two cars. Trying to get a comparison with uk and an idea of what the day to day costs of living would be..

You could look at www.aussiemove.com under Finance.........there is a breakdown for a family of four; albeit Perth. It may be some help.

Don't know where you've been looking, but I found this one just now

http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...cost+of+living

If you do a search of the Australia forum, you'll find loads more, takes a couple of minutes.

You've got to be a fella, cos if it's not in right in front of their eyes - it doesn't exist

Make sure you factor in the cost of bottled water to fill your washing machine, fill your pool & flush your toilet cos that's what we'll be doing here in Brisbane soon!

Friends of ours brought their PS2 and it works just fine on their new TV. However, the dad is an electronics engineer/geek, so I don't know if he did something special to get it to work.
