Cost comparison - please !
Ok.........simple cost comparison requested.
I bought a pair of school trousers for my son (aged 10) in M&S yesterday and they cost £8.....good quality even though he will knacker the knees out. These were long trousers not shorts.
So......they should cost what in Oz?....using simple logic say £8 x 2.3 = $18
but factor in lower cost of living I am hoping that they cost less than $18 in Oz.
So.............do I hear $10 from anyone ?. Reason I ask is I have 3 boys who all get through trousers like they get through footballs...........lost or punctured in such a way as to be useless.
cheers

Here is a school uniform price list from a WA school.
http://www.ssp.wa.edu.au/uniform_pricelist.htm
Cheaper options are available at some shops.
Don't worry about the knees, don't they wear shorts here ?

Problem is, it's soooooooooo 'uncool' to where trousers, (according to the boys) regardless of the weather, all the boys wear shorts, literally have to force my son to wear trousers!!! Much protesting on the way to school...
