Cost of Bills per month
Hi Guys,
Just wondering if some of you could give me an idea of how much you pay for bills per month (those who pay a mortgage), eg, electricity, gas, phone, rates (?) etc.
My parents are thinking of applying to come over here and want to know the costs.
Thanks

We don't have that here in Ireland, if you own your property then thats it, no charges except in some areas the different councils might charge you for water.

But we take it for granted now, along with monthly account fees for the banks ;-)

Rates here in Sheffield are over £110 per month (more if you are in nicer areas).
Looking forward to $500 and odd for the year in OZ.

Re: Cost of Bills per month
Gas and electric combined on one bill 330 bucks per month
Petrol, large car Ford Falcon, 4.2 litre, plus a Datsun 120y about 280 bucks per month for about 1000 Kilometres combined per month.
Car Insurance/rego both cars, Ford full comp, Datsun 3rd party fire theft, circa 2000 bucks per annum.
House insurance 700 bucks P Annum
Rates 1400 per Annum.
Water rates 920 per annum.
Medical insurance 190 bucks per month.
Food/groceries Circa 1200 bucks per month, mostly Aldi now and two kids to feed.
Government School fees, including uniform, books, 13 yo daughter, Aud 2,200, this year, less next as she wont need a full new uniform.
Primary school fees for 9 Year old circa 400 Aud per annum. Kids extra cirricular stuff, Music/Soccer/ etc, circa 100 bucks per month.
Line of Credit interest (covers old car loan, and old extension) circa 400 bucks per month, lent against house and replaces mortgage.
Phone/broadband (40 gigs download at 512k) and voip 130 bucks per month, all calls included.
Foxtel 90 bucks per month.
Dont ask me about our dental costs, I'm still really peed off about them, I did spend 13,000 aud on my two kids in 18months though, without including our recent heavy costs for my wife and I.
Our combined 6 figure income barely covers the above. Thank xrist we dont have a Mortgage.

Re: Cost of Bills per month
I just took my daughter to see a skin specialist here. Cost me $150 for a 10 min check-up, then a further $70 per visit.
