Default Cost of Bikes in Brisbane

Hi folks,

Can anyone tell me what it costs to buy a standard run around adult bike and 2 kids bikes in Brisbane? Hubby and kids bikes are on their last legs but not sure whether it's cheaper to buy here or wait. We might have room in the container that would accommodate this hence the question.

Cheers

This link may help you check some prices: http://www.bicycles.net.au/links/shops.html#qld

Kmart etc often have some specials, I bought one for myself and my daughter, for $79 each, after 50% off. It's a basic cheapo though

I bought 2 adult bikes and 1 kids one in Brisbane (Strathpine) and I remember them to be very good value, good bikes they were as well! Would def have cost more here.

We bought a couple from Tom Wallace Cycles at Lutwyche - $1200 each but they knocked a bit off for buying 2. Has some good deals in most of the time and has bikes from all price ranges.

Prices are comparable low to mid range I reckon. I love my cycling and have a top end carbon thing and found it to be about 20% cheaper than the UK so waited until I came here before buying one.

Thanks folks for the comments.....I think by all accounts might be worth while waiting to buy hubby's and kids. Mine's will be ok after a wee clean (not much cycling but hope to change that!).

Cheers
