Default Container clearance times

We have just been told by our shippers that our container
will be leaving UK 20/06/2004 and arriving in Brisbane
24/07/2004.

What is the average time for a container to pass through customs,
ie when could we realistically expect to have our container?

If anyone can give me a rough idea I'd be really grateful.

Thanks Karen

Karen, just ask your shipper for the door to door delivery time in weeks

From previous posts it seems this is one of those situations where you just cross your fingers.

We got lucky on two counts; neither customs nor our delivery company dragged their feet with our shipment.

From ship arriving in port to delivery to our door took just 7 days.

Unfortunately there are occasions reported on here where some have had to wait weeks. Then of course you open your shipment to see what's damaged .... :scared:
