Default contacting old friends ????

i have my very old friends of about 12 years ago, of whom we havent constantly kept in contact with , but have always been in contact if pregnant , had marriage problems etc, and just dont know how to tell them we are leaving ? i have admittedly not seen my very earliset and very best friend since june 06, as i have not contacted her and told her we are leaving forever, as she would be really gutted, and we have had some bril times together, although very silly, unexpected and very much fun, i am still gonna miss my very early on life, does this ring true with any of you lot, or am i being too sentimental ???????

dont know how to contact her, avoid the goodbyes or just have a good night out and have a good cry ????

any help appreciated and thankyou.

kels x

I have been feeling the same. It is quite hard to contact someone out of the blue and tell them this momentous news, if you haven't spoken for some time. I have found it hard enough telling friends/family with whom I am in regular contact. There comes a cut off time when telling someone seems like an afterthought, so hard as it is, it is probably best telling them sooner rather than later. Having said that, I'm off to Melbourne end of October and still have a few out of contact friends to inform. Just because you haven't spoken for a while doesn't mean that neither of you care.
