To contact case officer or not
To all who are considering contacting there case officer. We e.mailed Adelaide last week but no result. I re e.mailed three days later as I am impatient. The reply was that Dimia did not give progress reports, We were very disappointed and frustrated. However four days later we have recieved another e.mail from our case officer {obviously not a bad soul} with an update and confirming our paperwork has now passed to centerlink. Progress at last. My advice is to be diplomatic and polite and you will get an answer eventually. Boy it feels good to get a reply.......

Re: To contact case officer or not
Ye Elaine, same sort of thing happened to me. It took about 1 week to get a general response from Dimia, and 1-2 weeks later heard from my case officer. Maybe this is the length of time it takes an e.mail to reach Australia

Hi granger,
It would cause less hassle if they would just answer our questions and less frustration

Not much use to those who haven't - lots of use to those who have.
