How is the demand for Unix/Linux, System/Network/Security administrators? In Oz and Nz. What are the most demanding areas in IT in these two places.
Thanks and regards!

Re: Concern about IT jobs
Whilst the demand is rising, alot of the activity at the moment is for very short term projects (3 to 6 weeks). At this early stage of the recovery there appears to be some reluctance for employers to commit full time and long term.
In Sydney (in particular)the growth areas appear to be in areas such as Business Intelligence, CRM and Data warehousing, so if your Database Admin experience is in 'complex' or 'high security'environments then there's more opportunity than for the smaller applications.
There was an article in this morning's Sydney Morning Herald talking about the projected growth in IT coming from 'in house' rather than contractor based positions.
