Computer Prices in Oz

Computer Prices in Oz
Hi
Our laptop is on its last legs and thinking about replacing it - My girlfriend and I arrive in Adelaide just before xmas with full visas! yipee! The thing is, do I replace it now and risk getting taxed in Oz or should I wait? Are computers cheaper in Oz? I have to weigh up all possibilities here before making a decision so any advise will be greatly appreciated!
We're going via Singapore also - should I buy there, chuck the box away and hide it amongst some jumpers in my case?! I will consider it if they're cheap enough!

Singapore is cheaper but make sure you get an international warranty. I have found the UK has marginally better prices than Oz (I miss www.scan.co.uk daily specials) and a bigger range from individual resellers.
