Hi David Seabys to a very good coin catalouge thay bring a new one out every year, you can get it from the library or "at all good bookshops",condition is very important and the price in the books are normally what you would pay to buy it not what its worth which is usually about 40% less.
Brought my coins with me to oz ,some roman and medieval thought i'd scatter some around a building site that should stir some interest up

Try www.tclayton.demon.co.uk/values/coins.html. I also had an inherited collection of old coins. I used this site to pick out the better ones and sold the rest on eBay as one bulk lot. Took what I thought were the better ones to a few dealers. They picked out a few individual coins but ended up putting the rest on eBay as well as a bulk lot.
