CO Assigned - How Long Now ???

CO Assigned - How Long Now ???
Hi all......
Submitted visa application (STNI for ACT) on 24th August. Weekly checks of the ASPC processing times indicated that our visa would not be getting processed until about March time (yesterday's weekly email said that applications submitted on 20th-28th May were being processed).
So imagine my surprise when we received an email from our agent this morning with a letter asking for our medicals and police checks from our Case Officer............
Because we decided to leave the meds until requested, we are booked in for early January (the letter asks for everything to be back by 17th Jan).
How soon/long will the decision (visa grant hopefully) be made ?????

our agent told us about 6/8 weeks from the time the DIMA receive meds and pcc
we just need to book meds and pcc being done today

We had our meds/pcc's requested on 08/11
Meds sent 28/11
Pcc's scanned and sent 11/12
Visa granted 20/12
