Same tag sizes, 10, 12 , 14 etc, but made for big  women, if your a size 16 in the UK you would probably slip into a size 12/14 here, all good then :D

When I arrived here I was a BIG lady and discovered a great store called "Be Me" which is a bit like Evans Seven Collection - really funky clothes at really reasonable prices in sizes 16 upwards. To be honest, I found the sizes on a par with the UK equivalent. You will find a lot of the "trendy" clothes shops stop at 16 or even 14 but there are still plenty of good stores that go up to 18 or 20. Target, Big W, Best & Less and K-Mart all have sections for the larger lady although they go up to 18 in their normal clothes too. IF you are like me, you will find that what you eat will quickly change your shape too. The diet here is so healthy anyway. I have been here 6 wks and have gone down 2 size in clothes & have lost 7 kilos already. Trust me - all is good here... you'll love it!;)

I am a larger lady and so know most places where you can get larger clothes. Aussie Sizes are about a size smaller than in the UK - so if you are an 18 in the UK - try a size 16 in Australia.

Kmart - up to size 26 - from memory it is called 'options plus' (or is that Target)? Anyway Target and KMart both go to size 26. Also Big W goes up to larger sizes too.

Myer - BIB (Big is Beautiful) - again size 26

My Size - click here I love their clothing.

1626 (for sizes 16-26) Click here

they are not the same as American sizes. American sizes convert to Uk like American 6 is a British 10 - 8 = 12 - 10 = 14

The sizing here is about the same as in the UK, however, as other posters have said you may want to try a size down but not always the case.

Hi i panicked at the thought of shopping for clothes here am ashamed to say in UK i was wearing a 28-30 but i love shopping out here so many places to go i am not restricted to one shop alone i usually wear 26 in tops and trousers here and can occasionally get away with a 24 depending on the style and where it is from clothes in Big W and target are rerasonably priceed for dossing clothes and for good going out clothes i love 16-26 but still reasonably priced when compared to Evans i do think i have lost some weight though which has obviously helped but as i say don't despair you will be fine.

I am in the same boat as you. 1626 and MYSize have some lovely bits - prices arn't bad either.

Evans is nothing like it used to be - the last few years, it has gone downhill and I am now, not buying clothes all the time - shame really!!
