Question Cleaning Products

In my (seemingly endless) clearing out of cupboards (hopefully in time for the shippers coming on Tuesday ) I have come across a load of cleaning products for kitchen, laundry & bathroom ie. toilet cleaner/bleach/washing powder/fabric softener etc that we had bought in bulk MONTHS ago. Does anyone know if it's ok to include this type of thing with the shipping? I can't seem to find it listed on the restricted lists. I don't want to give AQIS any extra excuses to rummage through the boxes and would like clearance to go through as quickly as possible (probably wishful thinking ). Thanks in advance for any info.
Cheers
Tracey

Hmmm ... I am not sure Tracey, but I know that friends of ours gave away their cleaning stuff when emigrating. I think the risk of spillage in transport was the risk... you never know how chemicals will react when mixed with others. Unlikely I know, but you never know.

HTH.

BTW, what mover are you using?

Thanks all . I hadn't considered spillages . I think I'll just leave them behind after all, be on the safe side. We're using Crown for our shipping.

Ah, that's right, you mentioned Crown before. Just give them a call and they could tell you if you are stuck.

Leave a nice cleaning gift for the new people... they'll be so grateful, esp the woman...

I shipped out quite a bit of specialist cleaning products eg Le Creuset cleaner. They all arrived OK. One aerosol even managed to get in somehow and even that arrived OK. Packers will tell u what u can't bring out.
