Clean Energy Advance Payment - eligible?
Would we be eligible for the Clean Energy Advance Payment as self funded retirees? We arrived in Australia on a Contributory Parents Visa in October 2010. We receive our State Pension from the UK. We don't have any other benefits from Centrelink. There has recently been something in the newspaper saying that one should ensure that your details are up to date with Centrelink in order to receive this Clean Energy payment to offset the Carbon Tax. I believe it is approximately $190 each for a couple, or $250 for a single person.
Any advice gratefully received.

Hi Julie,
I can't answer definitively but this link may help
http://www.cleanenergyfuture.gov.au/...ds/#content010
It says to call 1800 057 590 for further information. I would call with your personal financial details available and see what they say
