It's subclass 139 (not class 139).

It's called Skilled Designated Area Sponsored. There's plenty of information about this visa in the Skilled Migration Booklet.

Hubbys skills assessment with IEAust took 5 weeks we lodged main application at the end of Sept last year, meds were requested 5 weeks later. We delayed it a bit cos hubby was workin away form home then there was christmas.......sent meds back 2nd week in Jan....got our visa's 12th March 2004 :P

We used a superb agent who's fees were $3500 paid in installments best money ever we spent, then there was the meds and visa fees on top of that.

Hi, We're in Edinburgh. 5 :scared: WEEKS!
Well it's been 4 months so far...and nothing! YAlthough we have just applied for police checks but only cos we insisted and are bored of waiting! You did well to get all that though so fast! In what state are you in Oz? (and don't say a terrible one!) lol

We are also 139 put in for Skills assessment November 03 and back Feb 04.

Visa was put in on the 17th July 03, 30th July medicals requested and police checks. Have sent Police checks in Medicals are being done tomorrow....
We have been using an agent everything seems to be going very quick now...
