Hi,

For all those who have claimed UK tax back, did anyone do it without a p45? Typically, mine seems to have been 'misplaced' during shipping. I presume they can find your records from your NI number, but unsurprisingly there is no email contact at the inland revenue for this type of query.

Best thing to do is ring the international number and speak to someone at IR and explain the situation - I'm sure there will be a way round it.
Sorry cant be much more help than that

You need to know which Tax Office to call, use this link:

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/local/individ...al-numbers.htm

and just click on the letter which covers the area where you live (S for Scotland) M for Manchester etc to get the international number.
