Citizenship - when are 2 years up?
Hi, could anyone please help with the following?
We first arrived in Australia on 1st August 2006 to validate our visas, and then left again on 26th August 2006. We then arrived back to live on 24th August 2007. As we validated before 1st July 2007 it will take 2 years for citizenship. However, does the month in 2006 count towards those 2 years?? ie are 2 years up on 1st August 2009, or 1st September 2009?? I realise it is only a matter of a few weeks difference anyway, but I am very curious!!
Many thanks!
Jo

You'll need to subtract any time out of Australia on vacations etc.
