citizenship application question
 

Sorry this is probably a daft question. We are in the process of filling in the online application for Australian citizenship and are a bit stuck. It asks for the visa numbers. I am not sure which number this is. I presume it is the long number at the bottom of the visa sticker which begins with v, but just want to make sure. The helpline is only open during the week.

Did I read somewhere recently that the qualifying period has just gone from 2 to 4 years?

It's still 2 years until 1 July, with some time-limited exemption for existing PRs.

It's not as good idea to jump to conclusions without checking facts.

there should be a wee help box next to where it asks for the number...if you click on it, it will show you clearly what number to put in :)

Thanks. It is all sorted now and the application in. :D I am very excited. I hope the process doesn't take too long as it would be great to be able to vote in the next election.
