hi guys
how many of you `oldies` have become citizens. we have been here nearly 2years now and are going to go for our citizenship,well we were untill we received our `becoming an australian citizen`booklet to learn for our test!um!!! this could be fun,and this is before you can even apply.

I'm not classed as an oldie as a 29 yr old and only is Australia for 14 mths but we're counting down the days till we can be citizens, I've found the recent elections quite fustrating, so much change and no chance for input at all! And I'm not what I'd call a political person!

Anyway I can't wait and I'm puzzled by those who've been here 2 yrs plus and haven't gone for it!

Think you've misread Sam's post :) they want to become citizens, it's just the booklet outlining how to become one is all a bit daunting, especially for men :rofl: (sorry Keith :rofl:) apparently it's a lot to take in before the "TEST" ;)
