Default Citizens advice.....

Just wondering if anyone here in Oz knows if there is an equivalent to the Citizens advice bureau, or if not where would be a good source of advice on the way foeward in civil disputes. Nothing serious, just become a matter of principle and annoyance.

The Gold Coast has got one: http://www.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/t_std2.asp?pid=111

Not sure about locally though. But Cleveland has something similar, but I can't quite recall what it is. Maybe tomorrow.......

Assuming you're in Brisbane (?), try http://cwpp.slq.qld.gov.au/cab/cab.htm. Most states have something of this nature, just Google "citizens advice" and a place you want, eg Brisbane. There's also always the Small Claims Tribunal if you want to settle a dispute in a non-lawyer court: http://www.justice.qld.gov.au/courts...factsheet1.htm
