Default choosing a school

Hey Everyone,
After years of deliberation and a month long visit last Christmas we have finally made up our minds and are going to move to NZ asap (visa's, paperwork etc permitting).
Have not yet made a final choice in terms of location.
The two major factors in determining this are school and climate.
We have 2 boys 9 and 7, currently in a very good private school in Oxfordshire and we would very much like them to receive a similar if not better level of education.
Also if we are going to all the effort of moving to the otherside of the world it would be nice to live somewhere with a few more sun shine hours.
Any ideas how to meet both criteria?
Many Thanks
