Default Choosing the right "economical" time to leave the UK...

Hi all,

Are there many out there who already have their Visa's and trying to find the best "economical" time to move.

Factors which are making me wait are: Rising UK house prices, a gradually weakening Aus $, news that Australian house prices "may" crash.

Is anyone else waiting, or do these factors not affect your judgement?:lecture:

regards,

Why be poor when you can be rich? The bigger the pool, the better.

Wouldn't affect my choice as to when to go - life is too short. It is influencing me when to buy dollars though. Got a limit order for 2.60 set up to buy. Keep falling baby!

You wont have to wait too long for 2.60 in my opinion...

March 31st. Simplifies your UK tax return. Otherwise you may be liable for a partial return...

Ahhh, but if you wait for July 1st, you will have one less Australian tax return to do

Hi

I would say that the best way to pick the most opportune fiscal moment in time to migrate is with the benefit of hindsight.

alternatively when the visa lands make your plans and go.

if we were in this to make money we'd never have started the process, i speak as someone who is close to 10k lighter because of the visa (tra, visa, shippers, flights, estate agents, medicals, solicitors, insurance).

we're in for a new life, the sooner the better. I don't think i could slog to work every day knowing i had a visa, watching a whole host of ecconomic indicators that i couldn't control, no, the decision was made when the visa arrived, or the decision was made when we applied.
there's no time like the present
