Default Chinese takeaways in the Gold Coast

Moving in 2 months, very excited!! BUT i love Chinese food, and when we had one in Brisbane a couple of years ago, it wasn't as nice as the Chinese over here in England.

Just wondering if anyone knew if there are any good Chinese takeaways on the Gold Coast, that tastes like the ones in England?

Just get used to great chinese that doesn't taste like an English Chinese It will taste like an Australian Chinese There's one at Christine Corner (Varsity/Burleigh Waters) that's not bad but there's a lack of English Chinese migrants if you get my drift

Is it true too, that in Oz MSG is illegal/banned, thus not used as a thickener/flavour enhancer in chinese food? I might be wrong, but I'm sure I read/heard this somewhere once?
